As a highly experienced art teacher, with many years of running courses and painting holidays in various parts of the world, Christine runs several independent painting holidays in Spain and Greece.

She offers demonstrations, tutorials and plenty of one-to-one guidance. Her time is devoted entirely to her students and she NEVER paints for herself during YOUR holiday!

Cazorla lies at an elevation of 836m and is situated at the entrance to Spain's largest National Park, comprising the Sierras De Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas parks, a vast protected area of magnificent river gorges and forests. It is here that the great Guadalquivir River rises before starting its long journey to the sea. Ibex roam throughout the area and the air is monitored by many raptors, including the Lammergeier, or ‘Bone Breaker’! Inhabited since the Copper Age, some 3000 years BC, there were significant Iberian and Roman settlements here. Under the Moors it was a strategic stronghold and 2 Arab castles and many shrines overlook the town.

PAINTING HOLIDAY IN AKROTIRI, SANTORINI - Thurs. 3rd – 10th OCT. 2019

Santorini

Following our 4 highly successful painting holidays in the Greek islands over the last 3 years, we are now planning a return visit to Santorini in early Oct. 2019.

Santorini (Thera) is the remnant of a volcanic caldera, which forms the southernmost member of the Cyclades group of islands and may have been the inspiration for Plato’s story of Atlantis.

Evidence of the ancient Minoan civilization, destroyed by a devastating volcanic eruption some 3,500 years ago, may be seen at the site of extensive archaeological excavations on the edge of Akrotiri. These remains have been compared to those at Pompei.
